lyrics

It’s like I’m caught in a hurricane.
In the eye of a storm that’s raging around me.
And there’s no way to really fix.
Especially when I don’t even notice it’s there.
I have to get through, somehow, to the other side.
Find my place to sit.
Sit there too, stay there, and don’t move.
Out of the dust and the doom.

Forget about you.

There are choices aplenty.
Most of them fill be with a special kind of doom.
I have old tomes and stones games to occupy me,
But somehow that just seems so empty,
So hollow, see through.
It’s like I’m caught in a hurricane
And I’m supposed to believe this is what it looks like clear.
I need to forget about tomorrow.
I need to forget about being cruel.

Forget about you.

There was a field of flowers.
It was red all day through.
It would still be there you know.
If it wasn’t for you.

Where? In the loss of hours.
Where? In the turning of the screw.
There, in the burning of the dawn
Through yesterday’s proofs.
