lyrics

I lie awake, listen to you breath.
I’ve made mistakes listening to need.
I wonder what I have brought out,
Out in the air, into your house.
Sometimes I change.
Sometimes, I’m changed.
Peel with the thunder.
Fall with the rain.

But you’ve got to rise, rise, rise
Out of the dust
You’ve got to climb, climb, climb
It’s never enough.

Stick to the sides. Lye on the floor.
Up on the hill, can’t reach the shore.
I expect too much and nothing at all.
Long to be yours, ignore your call.
Don’t want to know
Just want to be known.
Say the right words
Though I haven’t grown.

But you’ve got to rise, rise, rise
Out of the dust
You’ve got to climb, climb, climb
It’s never enough.

I lie awake, listen to you breath.
I’ve made mistakes listening to need.
I wonder what I have brought out,
Out in the air, into your house.

But you’ve got to rise, rise, rise
Out of the dust
You’ve got to climb, climb, climb
It’s never enough.
